Portraits

Milly Bellis

What are your opening hours?
I shoot between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

How can I book a photo shoot?
Just call 07870234473 or email [email protected] and I will then call you to arrange a convenient time for your session.

How soon can you fit me in for my Studio Session?
This all depends on what day and time you are looking for I no longer book Saturday appointments. Generally I am booked up 2-3 weeks in advance. Weekday early morning appointments are more flexible and we I can normally fit you in within 1-2 weeks.

Why do you charge a Studio Session fee?
Your Studio Session fee acts as security against your appointment and shows us that you are committed to attending your session. This fee is payable at the time of booking and you can do so either via the online payments section on my website over the phone by credit card or in person at the studio. Please note that sessions are only reserved for 48 hours. If payment is not made within that period then unfortunately your session will be cancelled. This is due to the demand for appointments.

If I cancel my Studio Session do I lose my fee?
Your fee is non-refundable if you cancel or alter your appointment with less than 5 days, notice. However, I will be happy to book you in at a later date providing you notify me at the time of cancellation.

I'm not sure what style of pictures I want. Do you offer a consultation?
When you arrive for your Studio Session I will spend time with you showing you a selection of images to ascertain the style or styles of photography that you prefer. This could be choosing a preference for colour or black & white, or a particular lighting style. But if you have no specific preference, we'll just shoot a range of options for you to choose from.

The Studio Session
I have woken up with a spot, should I cancel my shoot?
There is no need to cancel your appointment as we can remove all blemishes during post production.

Which area do I cover?

I am now based in Liverpool, The Georgian Quarter area and can easily work in venues and surrounding counties.

Do I shoot in B&W or colour?

I shoot digital which I then edit myself - I look at each image as an individual frame and choose the most appropriate treatment to get the best from it - be it black and white, full colour or slightly desaturated for a timeless quality.

How do you book me?

I always like to meet to get to know each other. I will also show you examples of my work. If you do make the decision to book me I ask for a completed and signed contract and a non-refundable retainer fee of £50 which can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or via the online payments section on my website. Unfortunately, I can't hold dates without the form and fee.

Can I provide prints for friends and guests?

Once we have had the viewing after the portrait session you can decide which images will be uploaded to a private web gallery where you can order prints directly.

Are you DBS checked?

Yes, Ean Flanders is DBS checked.

Are you insured?

I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Certificates are available on request.

Who owns the copyright of the images?

Ean Flanders Photography retains full copyright of all the images taken at your photographic session, which means that it is a criminal offence to copy, scan, photocopy or reproduce or email any of the images purchased. This is the law as stated under the 1988 copyright and patents act.

The Viewing

The images can be viewed straight after the session time permitting or I will email you a link to your own private gallery which is password protected where you can view the images at your leisure to make your selections.

Is there any obligation to buy anything after the shoot?

No, absolutely not – but, with beautiful images of you and your loved ones, I think you might find it hard not to! I offer a wide range of lovely products to display your portraits in the best possible way - all of which are bespoke made.

What if I want more copies after the first viewing?

That is fine I keep all your images on file and you can re-order at any time in the future. All your images have a reference number on the back so you can order over the phone.

Do you provide a disc?

Unfortunately, not. All my portraits are created by hand and produced on fine art paper. These images take a considerable time to edit individually from a whole photographic session.

* Please note that Ean Flanders Photography may use images taken at your photographic session for display and marketing purposes. Please let Ean know if you would prefer your images not to be displayed at the studio, on this website or other marketing literature. Thank you.
